What a disgustingly shameful omission of historical fact that the writer of this article has neglected to mention the continuing civilian casualties in Laos in his account of the civilian casualties from cluster bombs in Aghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam. How can this or any reporter claim any journalistic integrity, intellectual honesty let alone historical accuracy when he engages in a conspiracy of silence and not report on the most heavily cluster-bombed country in the history of world--Laos. The innocent civilians of Laos are still suffering at the hands of these unexploded ordnance as a result from the bombing campaign that the U.S. States Government engaged in as the CIA's "Secret War." The writing of any reporter who glosses over, neglects to mention or omits these horrendous crimes against humanity is not worth the ink it's written on. I'm beyond disgusted.
